Privacy

Courtsbook is run by Capitol City Data, LLC, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This policy covers the Courtsbook mobile app and courtsbook.com. Last updated 2 August 2026.

What we collect

Your account. Your name, and the email address or mobile number you sign in with. A phone number is also how we can text you a reminder if you would rather not use the app.

Your league activity. RSVPs, lineups you are placed in, match results, points, draft picks, and your rankings. This is the record your club is keeping, and it is the reason Courtsbook exists.

What you post. Messages, photos and reactions you send in the Clubhouse, and any polls or events you respond to.

Photos you choose. Only the images you pick to send or to use as a profile or cover photo. We ask for photo-library access at the moment you use it, and we never read your library otherwise.

Location, only if you turn it on. Courtsbook has an optional presence feature that shows teammates you are at the club on match day. It is off unless you switch it on, it only reports whether you are inside your club’s area during a match window, and it is not kept as a location history. Turn it off and the record goes.

Your device, for notifications. A push token so we can send you the things that change your evening — your captain marking you in or out, a lineup, a called-off night.

Basic technical data. Ordinary server and error logs from our hosting provider, used to keep the service running and to fix faults.

What we do with it

We use it to run your league and nothing else. There is no advertising in Courtsbook, we do not profile you, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not make your league’s data public. Captain notes are never visible to the player they are about, and private surfaces — overrides, the audit log — stay with the roles allowed to see them.

Text messages

If you turn on text reminders, we use your mobile number for one thing: to text you before your league’s deadline asking whether you are playing, and to reply to what you send back. You choose whether to turn them on, and replying STOP to any message ends them.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors that help us deliver the service — the company that actually sends the message — is permitted, and only for that purpose; they are named below. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone else, and never sold or rented. The full programme terms are on our text messages page.

Who else touches it

Only the companies needed to operate the service, and only for that purpose: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Expo (push notifications), Twilio (text messages), Resend (email), and — where you use those features — Google Maps and Mapbox to show a club’s location. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Who can see you inside Courtsbook

Courtsbook is closed. You are visible to people at your own club: your team, your captains, your commissioner, and the club pro. Messaging is limited to members of a league you share. Fans are invited by a player and can only see standings and results. Nothing you do is visible to another club or to the public.

Your choices

In Settings you control who can send you a direct message, how each conversation notifies you, and whether presence is on. You can block another member at any time, and see or undo every block you have made. You can report a message to your commissioner, and we respond within 24 hours.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the app — Me → Delete account — or by emailing us. Deleting removes your profile, your contact details and your access. Your club’s completed match record remains, because a finished season is the league’s shared history and removing one player’s results would rewrite everyone else’s; what stays is the record of the matches, not you.

Keeping it

We keep your information for as long as you have an account, and league records for as long as your club keeps its history with us. Deleted messages are retained briefly so a commissioner can act on a report, then removed.

Children

Courtsbook is for adult club members and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

Where your data lives

Courtsbook is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. If you use it from elsewhere, you are sending your information to the United States.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
